As part of the college’s philosophy to develop the individual potential of each child, the Special Education Teaching Team as well as a number of Special Needs Assistants play an important role for students who find school challenging in various ways.
Additional support teaching in the college can take many forms including small group withdrawal, support classes and team teaching in class. Using the Continuum of Support Model, the college endeavours to assess the strengths and areas for development of all students in the core areas on entrance to the college. This is to enable us to plan correct support systems on the timetable, so students are being helped in the best way with the resources available.
