The Child of Prague was out in force on Thursday night and boy did it pay off. The back pitch basked in glorious sunshine as students and teachers took to the field for our annual Sports Day. 🏃
Year groups ran races, hopped their way to three legged glory, got into the sack (a manure sack), cast a line or two, played keepy uppy and cheated in the spud and spoon.⚽
The students were then subjected to their annual beating in the tug of war, basketball and soccer to compound a miserable sporting send off for our seniors.🏀
MC JK entertained the masses with his commentary and roasts accompanied nicely by DJ Jack Ryan who brought a small bit of Ibiza to the College and most of New Road, may we add, with his up beat choons and the odd rebel song thrown in for good measure. 🎤🎧
Both teachers and students left the school with a healthy appreciation for sun cream, hydration and their sportier friends. Who cares who won or lost (the LCs 😛) it was a cracking way to finish the year before we get down to the serious business of summer exams next week!
